a rather dirty print, but that's what i like about it. copper plate engraving done without photographic references summer of 2005. there is a companion edition. "yellow eagle". brief note: 'spqr' is an acronym for a latin phrase that roughly translates to "built for the people of rome", or something similar. it is still imprinted on city ironworks such as water fountains, manhole covers and drainage grates.
